Everton have been given cause for optimism in their pursuit of striker Karl Etta Eyong.

This summer will see Everton look to bring in another striker after failing to be convinced by the current options on Merseyside.

Etta Eyong is a striker Everton have on their radar, with David Moyes needing more attacking reinforcements for the new season.

If you were Angus Kinnear who would you be going all out for this summer? 💰

As the window prepares to open for business next week, Etta Eyong has now given Premier League clubs the green light to come and sign him.

Karl Etta Eyong provides Everton transfer optimism

It is worth noting that Barcelona have shown an interest in Etta Eyong ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, there is room for optimism at Everton, with the player keen on a potential move to England.

Ben Jacobs has revealed that Etta Eyong is prioritising a possible switch to the Premier League this summer.

It is claimed Levante have already received two approaches from separate Premier League clubs over their striker.

The Spanish outfit are looking for an offer in the region of €30m (£26m).

Etta Eyong scored fewer goals than Thierno Barry last season, with a return of seven goals in La Liga for Levante.

At just 22 years of age, Etta Eyong certainly has time on his side to develop into a more prolific striker, but Everton fans may well be hoping for something more this summer.

The Blues did not see either of their strikers reach double figures in the Premier League last season, which would suggest a proven goalscorer is needed this summer.

By adding a player like Etta Eyong, many on Merseyside may question whether that signing would move the needle for the Toffees as they target European football next season.
