Everton have completed the signing of Aston Villa midfielder Tim Iroegbunam – and the 20-year-old has posted a message on his Instagram in the wake of his arrival.

Sky Sports reports that the Toffees have paid a fee of £9million and that the English youngster has signed a three-year deal at Goodison Park.

Taking to Instagram after the deal was announced, Iroegbunam wrote: “Delighted to join this massive club. I am filled with excitement with the opportunity to play at Goodison in front of you all.

“Can’t wait to give this club everything I’ve got. Up the Toffees.”

Morgan Rogers, who Villa signed for £15million back in January, was the first to send Iroegbunam a message.

“Go shine brother,” wrote the England under-21 international.

Jacob Ramsey, who featured regularly at Villa Park before his season-ending injury, sent the now-Everton man two love heart emojis.

Jaidon Anthony, who was on loan at Leeds United last season, also wrote, “Here we go.”

Finally, Daniel Jebbison, who has been linked with Everton previously, added, “Amazing”.

Tim Iroegbunam kickstarts Everton’s transfer business

Now that the Iroegbunam deal is over the line, attention will now turn elsewhere.

Per Sky Sports report, the Toffees are believed to be interested in Newcastle United’s Yankuba Minteh after the 19-year-old enjoyed an excellent loan spell with Arne Slot’s Feyenoord last season.

Goodison Park exits are also on the agenda, with Dominic Calver-Lewin believed to be closing in on a move to the North East.

Hurdles must be overcome, but all signs suggest the 27-year-old’s time on Merseyside looks to be coming to an end.

Another potential exit involves Lewis Dobbin, with Everton believed to be in advanced talks with Aston Villa over a move.

With the window in its preliminary stages, there appears to be a lot going on at Goodison Park, which can only be a positive sign.
