The Everton academy has a rich history of developing future first-team players with many fans’ favourites also being one of the Toffees’ own.

The likes of Wayne Rooney, Anthony Gordon and Tom Davies have all come through the Toffees’ Under-21s and gone on to feature for the Everton first-team.

The current group of Everton U21 prospects represent the Merseyside club’s academy in the Premier League 2. It features all 26 teams with a Category 1 academy as of the 2024/25 term.

Paul Tait took over as the Everton U21s manager in July 2022 after five years in charge of their U18s.
