Jack Harrison could be set for back-to-back relegations.
That’s according to journalist Phil Hay, who fears the forward has made a big mistake in joining Everton.
Harrison first joined Leeds United on loan in 2018 and was a key part of their squad in the Championship, scoring six goals and eight assists in their promotion-winning campaign.
The winger made his stay permanent in 2021 and went onto bag 37 goal contriutions in the Premier League before they were relegated to the second tier back in May.
While Harrison had signed a new contract with the Whites earlier this year, he was eager to return to the top flight in the summer and eventually sealed a loan move to Goodison Park.
The 26-year-old spent the first six weeks out injured, but eventually made his debut in the Carabao Cup before making his league debut in the defeat to Luton Town.

While the Toffees managed consecutive victories over Brentford and Aston Villa, they still sit level on points with 18th place after losing five of their opening seven fixtures.
With Harrison’s departure from Leeds infuriating a lot of fans, Hay has now suggested they could be right in criticising his decision.
Writing for The Athletic, Hay said: “Over at Everton, Jack Harrison — on the way back from a hip injury — took until the last weekend of September to make his league debut. It came on Saturday in a 2-1 defeat to Luton Town.
“There is a chance that by joining Everton on loan, Harrison, like Sinisterra and Adams, will have bounced from one relegation to another.”
A big risk from Harrison
Jack Harrison‘s arrival on Merseyside came as a surprise to many considering the club’s struggles over the past few years.

While the forward will definitely boost Everton’s chances of staying up, Harrison was surely fully aware that the club could face another tough campaign. While he could well return to Yorkshire next summer if Leeds are back in the Premier League, he surely still wouldn’t want back-to-back relegations on his record.
However, Harrison certainly won’t be the only player wanting to avoid dropping down to the Championship. The former Man City winger needs to lead by example and show in his performances exactly how much he wants to stay in the top flight, even if he was to leave following his loan stint.
