Everton are looking to make major tweaks to their transfer policy after years of disappointment.
The Toffees have often splashed out on huge flops, while they have more recently relied on cheap loan deals and free agents.
As the club near their controversial takeover, fans are ready to start afresh and could part ways with a number of players next summer – some out of contract and some not.
While they will look to make up some cash to bring in new players with the sale of dead wood, there is also a further nine players that are yet to sign a new deal and could leave for free at the end of the season.
Here is each of Everton’s out-of-contract players and what we would do with them…
Jack Harrison (loan)
Jack Harrison arrived on loan from Leeds United this summer and had to wait a long time to make his debut due to injury.
However, the winger made a great first impression when he made his first start in the Carabao Cup victory over Aston Villa. Harrison went onto earn his first start in the Premier League two week later, getting off the mark with a brilliant goal.

The 26-year-old is only due to stay on Merseyside until the end of the season but could potentially make his move permanent if Leeds fail to win promotion back to the top flight.
If Harrison keeps up his form then there would be no question of whether they should keep him. He is a huge boost to their previously struggling attack and could be very important going forward.
DECISION: KEEP
Arnaut Danjuma (loan)
Arnaut Danjuma is another loanee, but one that appears to be less successful than Harrison so far.
The Dutchman actually looked like one of the few positives for Everton in the opening weeks of the campaign, however Sean Dyche doesn’t seem to favour him in the starting line-up.
Danjuma has only made three starts in the Premier League and it seems likely that he will return to Villarreal if this carries on. The 26-year-old definitely has time to prove himself, though at the moment I can’t see the Toffees coughing up the cash for his permanent signature.
DECISION: LEAVE
Andre Gomes
Andre Gomes hasn’t featured for Everton in 17 months following his loan spell to Lille and his recent injury problems.
The midfielder was expected to be brought back into the fold once he is fully fit, but it would certainly take a lot for him to earn a new contract now.
Gomes is Everton’s third highest-paid player and has endured a turbulent few years at Goodison Park. It definitely seems like it’s time for him to leave and get a fresh start.
DECISION: LEAVE
Abdoulaye Doucoure
Many expected Abdoulaye Doucoure to have already left the club when he was shunned out of the Everton squad by Frank Lampard.
However, his resurgence under Sean Dyche has been a sight to behold and he certainly earned his one-year extension.

While Doucoure is approaching his 31st birthday, the Mali international has been excellent this season and already scored three goals in eight games in the Premier League.
Doucoure has been very important to the club this year and there would be very few complaints if he remains on Merseyside for a further 12 months.
DECISION: KEEP
Idrissa Gana Gueye
There was a lot of excitement around Idrissa Gueye‘s return to Everton, however he is definitely past it now and is far from the standard of players that the Toffees need.
The midfielder has been very poor this season and is likely to remain on the bench following his absence against Bournemouth.
With Gueye turning 35 years old next year, it makes sense to release him as he nears the end of his career.
DECISION: LEAVE
Dele Alli
It would be a hard pill to swallow if Everton had to let Dele Alli go given his struggles. However, the Toffees can’t afford to keep him on if he doesn’t find his feet before the summer.
The midfielder is desperate to rediscover his form and kickstart his career again, but his injury has so far prevented him from being able to help Everton out.

Dele only needs to make seven more appearances before Everton have to cough up the first £10 million to Tottenham – a move which doesn’t really seem worth it if he can’t live up to expectations.
DECISION: LEAVE
Seamus Coleman
Seamus Coleman‘s eventual exit will be tough to take for different reasons.
The defender has spent the last 14 years at Everton and has been one of their most important players throughout.
However, Coleman recently turned 35 years old and is closing in on a comeback from an injury he picked up five months ago. It seems very unlikely that he will return as the same player he was.
The full-back will be forever loved at Goodison Park, but it will be time to say goodbye next summer.
DECISION: LEAVE
Ashley Young
Ashley Young has had a wonderful career and surprised many when he performed so brilliantly for Aston Villa last season. However, he hasn’t managed to keep that up for the Toffees.
Young is far from the player he once was, and his leadership and experience is arguably the only thing he is really bringing to this squad.
The 38-year-old can find another club next summer and perhaps it is time for him to finally return to the Championship.
DECISION: LEAVE
Andy Lonergan
Very little needs to be said about Andy Lonergan.
He’s 39 years old, made zero appearances and is just here to make up the numbers.
Goodbye, Andy.
