Everton have high hopes for Isaac Heath, who joined League Two outfit Accrington Stanley on transfer deadline day.

Isaac Heath impressed for Everton in pre-season and won a penalty against Accrington after a jinking run.

Funnily enough, that prompted manager John Doolan to snap his signature up on a loan deal just before the window slammed shut.

“He can play across the front,” Doolan explained.

“He has the technical ability and is still learning tactically. We saw him first hand in pre-season when he came on and got a penalty for Everton.

“He is something different, he can get the ball, drive at players and can score goals. He has done that at the level he is at, he has trained with the Everton First Team and hopefully he can take that into the EFL.”

Heath made his debut for Accrington last night and their supporters had a lot to say about his performance.

Isaac Heath’s stats vs Fleetwood Town

According to Sofascore, Heath actually made three key passes, so he was probably quite unfortunate not to come away with more than one assist.

The 20-year-old received an 8.7 match rating, which was the highest out of anyone on the pitch, and quite comfortably.

Accrington are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Cheltenham, so Heath could make his full debut on that fixture.
