Yerry Mina could be in line to join Besiktas after he was released by Everton.
TuttoMercatoWeb have reported that the Colombian has a ‘couple of interesting offers’ following his departure from Everton, with Besiktas joining Lille and clubs in Saudi Arabia in the race for his signature.
Mina joined Everton in 2018 in a deal worth £27 million but failed to live up to the price tag in his five years on Merseyside. After making only seven appearances in the Premier League last season, the defender was released upon his contract expiry.

Mina is reportedly in contact with Lille as he would like to remain in one of Europe’s top leagues, however Besiktas remains an option if he fails to secure a move to France.
If the 28-year-old was to join Besiktas then he would be reunited with Cenk Tosun, who joined Everton from the Turkish outfit in 2018.
The Toffees splashed a whopping £27m on the forward for him to return with only nine goals across five seasons in the Premier League.

After loan spells with Besiktas and Crystal Palace, Tosun returned to Istanbul permanently and netted 15 goals in the Super Lig last season.
Is Yerry Mina one of Everton’s most expensive flops?
Yerry Mina is Everton’s sixth most expensive signing in history and really doesn’t have much to show for it.
The defender put on the occasional memorable performance, but his form dipped when it really mattered and he struggled for game time in his final couple of seasons on Merseyside.

While there has definitely been worse players, Mina is perhaps the most expensive ‘flop’ as he cost less than only Gylfi Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Romelu Lukaku, Amadou Onana and Alex Iwobi – with the latter the only one you could argue a case for.
However, the likes of Davy Klaassen, Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Morgan Schneiderlin can’t be forgotten.
