The 2024 summer transfer window is now open – and an agent of an Everton-linked player has shared an update on his client’s future.
It should come as no surprise to see transfer rumour rife at Goodison Park upon the climax of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
Former Chelsea man Tammy Abraham has been linked with a move to Merseyside and Jarrad Branthwaite has reportedly agreed terms with Manchester United, although Everton are yet to agree a fee for the England international.
Sean Dyche needs fresh faces over the summer months as he looks to finally steer the Toffees to a more respectable part of the Premier League table.
Arthur Melo’s agent drops update on Juventus star’s future

According to Mail Online, Everton are in the hunt for former Liverpool loanee Arthur Melo.
The 27-year-old played just 13 minutes during his brief stint at Anfield and has spent the 2023/24 season with Fiorentina, where he’s regained his form somewhat.
Now, back at Juventus, Melo’s agent, Federico Pastorello, has shared an update on his clients future.
And Thiago Motta taking up the managerial position in Turin could dent the Toffees’ hopes of a deal.
Pastorello told TMW: “Now there has been a big change in Juve’s tactical approach with Motta, we’ll see this.
“He is certainly a player who is closest to Thiago’s type of game, then the management will make the assessments. We are calm, he had a great season, it won’t be a problem to find a solution.”
Massive 2023/24 improvement for Arthur Melo
After his miserable stint with Liverpool, Evertonians can be forgiven for feeling underwhelmed by this transfer link.
A player who is underperforming in his late 20s being linked with Blues shouldn’t come as a shock.
But, Melo’s 2023/24 season with Fiorentina provides reason to be positive. His injury issues appear to be firmly behind him and he’s scored two goals and registered three assists from central midfield this season.
Having previously been with Barcelona, the Brazilian clearly has something about him. The decision now lies with Motta and whether he sees him as part of his plans moving forward.
