The agent of Zakaria El Ouahdi has admitted he will leave Genk this summer, amid interest from Everton.

With the summer transfer window now just a matter of weeks away, David Moyes will be looking at opportunities to strengthen his Everton side.

Three more games need to be played in the Premier League for the Blues, with the possibility of European qualification still on the cards.

“The goal is to leave this year. We are in discussions with clubs from different leagues,” he said.

“It’s true that playing in the Premier League is every player’s dream. There’s England, Germany, Italy, La Liga… The most important thing is that he can play in a higher league.”

The 24-year-old has been playing his football in Belgium with Genk and it is clear to see why he has reportedly caught Everton’s eye.

Over the course of the 2025/26 campaign, El Ouahdi has provided the Belgian outfit with 12 goals and five assists.

For a right-back to score double digit goals shows just how big an attacking threat he could provide.

David Moyes is desperate to sign a right-back, having admitted it has been on his radar ever since he returned to Merseyside last January.

Jake O’Brien has done a job playing on the right of the defence, but there is a clear desire for the Irishman to return to his natural central position.

Everton need more of an attacking output from their full-backs and the Moroccan right-back has certainly shown he could provide that.
