Everton now find themselves looking for another prospective owner following the recent collapse of The Friedkin Group’s proposed interest.

It has been a mixed summer for Everton with their pre-season now well underway with three games now under their belt.

Sean Dyche‘s side lost away to Coventry City on Tuesday night in the latest of their friendlies with the Blues still hunting for their first victory of the summer.

And again, off the pitch, Everton have endured a turbulent few weeks with their proposed takeover crashing around two weeks ago.

But in the transfer window, the Toffees have made a really promising start with four signings already through the door at Goodison Park.

Journalist Alan Myers has now provided a behind the scenes insight as to how Farhad Moshiri is running the club despite looking to exit.

What Farhad Moshiri is doing behind the scenes at Everton

This summer has provided the Everton owner with quite the conundrum when it comes to operating in the market.

For now, Everton are believed to be in a solid financial position despite The Friedkin Group’s proposed takeover falling through.

And that has been backed up by the club’s efforts in the transfer market with two signings completed over recent days.

And it seems as if Moshiri has not completely back away from day-to-day operations at Goodison despite looking for the exit doors.

According to Sky Sports’ Alan Myers, Moshiri is still in regular conversation with the Everton sporting director Kevin Thelwell.

“Believe me, they speak,” replied Myers on social media when questioned whether Moshiri is still involved

Despite the ongoing debacle surrounding the takeover, Everton have operated incredibly well in the market.

Players were sold last month to avoid any further PSR penalties this season and players have been added to strengthen Dyche’s options.

Everton are now eyeing signing number five

Now O’Brien has been sealed as signing number four, Everton have already set their sights on their next addition.

Myers has also taken to social media to suggest the next signing to come through the doors on Merseyside is going to be a new left-back.

Considering some of the struggled Everton had last season, this summer is certainly looking to be well thought out and well executed when it comes to the transfer market.

Everton did not have an issue when it came to their defence, but further strengthening their options will only benefit their hopes of progressing on last season’s efforts.
