Alan Myers predicts what will happen in Everton’s takeover after latest Kevin Malone update

Everton are a club that never really gets to enjoy things for very long, before they, more often than not, get cruelly dragged away from them.

Carlo Ancelotti and James Rodriguez mark the outstanding two examples, who were largely around during the COVID years before they departed, and even Farhad Moshiri marks the original sample with all the excitement his arrival first promised.

He assured Evertonians that a brighter future beckoned, and yet all he has done is rack up crippling debt whilst regressing the team in the process.

And now, even in trying to depart Merseyside, he seemingly cannot get anything right, paying for his many misdeeds of the past.

Alan Myers makes Everton takeover prediction

Earlier this month, the Toffees were dealt yet another almighty blow when, despite the unbridled positivity surrounding Goodison Park, it was revealed that Dan Friedkin’s Everton takeover had collapsed.

It was news that shocked most, given how smoothly many assumed the American billionaire’s process had been, but the mounting and complicated debt proved insurmountable for the AS Roma owner.

That’s not to discount his potential return to the table, but for now the floor is open to other potential bidders, of which there were plenty during the last round of talks with Moshiri.

Alan Myers, taking to X, has sought to ease fans’ fears by replying to a few comments regarding the saga.

After all, it was his initial statement that sparked renewed positivity, as he initially claimed: ‘The consortium headed by American and former LA Dodgers General Manager Kevin Malone will make another bid to takeover Everton in the coming weeks following the news that the Friedkin group pulled out of a proposed purchase of the club.’

Then, when asked if there were to be multiple bidders, the Sky Sports reporter simply replied: ‘I’d expect more to surface.’

Are Everton really the unbuyable club?

With Moshiri desperate to sell, 777 Partners deemed far from worthy candidates to take over, and now Friedkin having opted out, it would not be ridiculous to think that Everton are just the unwanted club at the moment.

And, were it not for Sean Dyche, things would be even worse too.

After all, around this time last year, few could have predicted just how diabolical things would be, enduring a Premier League season embroiled in PSR controversy and relegation threats.

Fortunately, they were steered well clear of the drop by their unwavering leader, who promises to continue doing so despite mounting issues.

The Toffees are a monumental club with a new stadium on the way and a fiercely loyal fanbase. Naturally, the complicated debt poses a tricky situation, but all it takes is one brave, rich benefactor to untangle this mess and be met with a treasure trove of unlimited riches.
