Carlo Ancelotti has spoken about the fact this Everton team is becoming one in his own image.
He spoke to the club’s official website after the 1-0 at West Brom last night – a second straight win by that scoreline.
Ancelotti feels like the technical quality of his side could be improved but he can’t fault them for team spirit.
“I think we have to improve the technical quality of the squad. But what we cannot improve is the spirit of this team, which is really, really high.
“I am really pleased to have this kind of quality in my team. This is my team. Everton is my team.
“I feel these players follow me. They have a lot of respect for my idea. Of course, we would like to play better – I am not the only one who would like to play better, also the players want to play better.”

Ancelotti is a pragmatist and he has set his side up to get results in the chase for the top four this season.
They have played flowing football at times but on the whole they have looked better when prioritising stability and playing on the break.
It’ll be interesting to see what Ancelotti’s plotting next season, especially if he manages to guide the team into the Champions League.
