Andy Burnham has made it clear that he wants to see Jack Grealish back at Everton for next season.
A turbulent campaign for Grealish has now come to a conclusion after a significant injury setback curtailed his time on the pitch for Everton.
Despite not playing since January, the 30-year-old remained at Finch Farm to undergo his rehabilitation.
That was a disgraceful performance from Everton… something has to change! 😤
Now comes the question of whether Grealish will return to Everton beyond his initial one-year loan deal from Manchester City.

Andy Burnham wants Jack Grealish to sign for Everton this summer
There is an understanding that Everton are in talks with Man City over Grealish ahead of the summer window opening.
Grealish is now in the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad Stadium, with Burnham desperate to see him playing for the Toffees again next season.
When asked what his favourite matchday snack is, Burnham replied on TikTok: “I might say the Jack Grealish donuts at Everton.
What should Everton be willing to pay to bring back Grealish over the summer? 💰
“They’re so expensive it’s all about building a fund to keep Jack at Everton, I want to keep Jack at Everton this summer. So, as Jack said – buy the donuts, kids.”
It has been suggested, however, that Enzo Maresca wants to hand Grealish another chance at City following the departure of Pep Guardiola.
There are a number of factors that have to be considered when weighing up a possible deal for Grealish this summer.
Obviously, Moyes is a huge fan of Grealish, which will likely push Everton’s interest in the 30-year-old.
The winger is not getting any younger and he will enter the 2026/27 campaign on the back of a serious foot injury.
There is some positive news, though, with Grealish’s doctor delighted with his rehabilitation over recent months.
Given the managerial change, the ball is firmly in City’s court for now, with the FA Cup champions showing they are not overly concerned about losing big-name players at the end of their deals.
