Arsenal are reportedly blown away by Everton’s Amadou Onana this season.
The Liverpool Echo have claimed that the midfielder’s display in the Toffees’ win over Arsenal in February was a big topic of conversation in the dressing room, with the players acknowledging his impact.
Onana joined Everton from Lille for £33 million last summer and was one of their standout performers as they narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship.
Journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed that Onana could be on his way out of Goodison Park for £55m, with Chelsea eager to lure him south.

However, the Belgian’s performance against the Gunners could potentially spark interest.
Mikel Arteta’s side are currently chasing a big money move for West Ham’s Declan Rice, but their focus could change if they can’t afford the England international.

Onana could be open to a move away from Everton after a turbulent opening campaign, however it will be difficult to tempt the club into selling with four years left on his long-term deal.
Everton left with a threadbare squad if they sell Amadou Onana
Amadou Onana‘s potential departure seems to be gaining traction, with Tavoilieri claiming that the 21-year-old is open to discussing a move within the Premier League.
While the Toffees would make a profit on any transfer away, they are unlikely to replace him with someone of a similar level given their current reputation.

Sean Dyche’s side aren’t in any position to be offloading key players, especially if it meant the likes of Dele Alli, Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin returning to the starting line-up.
Dyche also has the issue of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which will see Idrissa Gueye and Abdoulaye Doucoure missing in the new year.
While Everton will need to sell to sign this summer, they should look at parting ways with the deadwood rather than the players that are their only hope of avoiding another battle at the bottom.
