Everton attacker Arnaut Danjuma has had a fairly slow start to life at Goodison Park since his arrival this summer, but he has now praised manager Sean Dyche.

The attacker arrived on loan from La Liga side Villarreal in the summer, but has started just three Premier League games, scoring once.

The 26-year-old has worked under the likes of Eddie Howe and Unai Emery in his career, but has praised Sean Dyche for his communication skills, and explained what the Everton squad need to do to impress him.

Speaking to Stadium Astro, Danjuma admitted that Dyche is a very direct communicator, and it is up to the players within the squad to earn his respect.

“He, as a manager, he’s pretty straightforward,” Danjuma stated.

“As long as you run, and as long as you work hard, he will give you the respect.

“What can I say about Sean Dyche? He’s very direct, he’s very straightforward in the way he speaks and approaches you, and as a player it’s up to you to deal with it and cope with it.”

The Dutch International has perhaps not been given a true chance to shine yet at Everton, but he will hope that he can get an extended run in the team to help improve the side’s attacking troubles.

During his early days at Villarreal, he would often impress with his dribbling skills, but would also deliver in front of goal, notching up 16 goals in La Liga and the Champions League in his first season in Spain.

However, since that successful season, he struggled for form at Villarreal, before being benched for half a season in a surprise loan move to Tottenham Hotspur.

He will now hope for a proper run of games for the first time in nearly two years, and if he can return to his clinical best, Everton have a lot to gain by giving him a shot at saving the Toffees’ season.
