Everton need to make a string of new signings this summer, but equally as important is to keep their best players.
David Moyes ensured the Toffees did not have an uncomfortable end to the season in 2024/25, guiding the Toffees to 13th place.
Everton finished on 48 points, which hardly any fan would have predicted when Sean Dyche left the club.
The Friedkin Group are now hard at work in their first major transfer window.
At the moment, Everton are prioritising four positions; a new central midfielder, a right-back, a right winger and a new striker.
Fans will hope that all of those positions are filled by the end of the summer.
But it will also, of course, be key for Everton to retain their best players – and Jarrad Branthwaite is a player who certainly falls into that category.
And Everton fans have backed one plan that Toffees officials have for the England defender.
Everton fans urge The Friedkin Group to make Jarrad Branthwaite the top earner

Everton do not want to lose Branthwaite this summer.
It was reportedly earlier this year that Moyes is keen to build around the former Carlisle United ace, and that is something many fans would love to see.
Branthwaite has been linked with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United in recent times.
But news of the club entering into talks with the player over a contract extension has gone down well – and several Evertonians think he should be made a top earner.
@BradHancox69895: “If you see him as future captain you make him the highest paid.”
@Cal_EFC: “Better than a signing this.”
@maverick7578: “He should be the highest earner at the club for me.”
@tiner183: “He should be the highest earner or tied with JP1.”
@finnthejrt8: “He should be the highest earner.”
@BrunypPB: “Rightly so he’s our biggest asset.”
Branthwaite contract extension would be massive for Everton
Understandably, there has been a huge focus lately on new players coming in this summer.
Rumours are flying about as to who could come in, and fans are excited.
But Everton extending Branthwaite’s contract would be such a huge boost for the football club ahead of the move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Plenty of clubs would love to land him, so for him to extend and lead Everton’s defence would send out a real message.
He’s in a good place. Branthwaite plays regularly, works under a fantastic manager and will now play at a world-class stadium every other week.
Potentially, any agreement may see there be a release clause inserted, or a gentleman’s agreement. Perhaps that would be unavoidable given his quality, potential and ambition.
But to keep him for another year or two would certainly be excellent news.
