Yannick Bolasie has said he’s not the type who would have waited around at Everton not playing.
In an interview with the Guardian, Bolasie said that he just wants to play football.
Bolasie spent the second half of the season on loan at Middlesbrough and has also had spells with Anderlecht and Sporting.
He says he would never just take the money for not playing and has just been keen to get back playing as soon as possible.

“I’ve always just wanted to play football,” said Bolasie.
“Hence why I’ve probably killed myself going out on these loans from Everton.

“Other players might have said: ‘Actually, I’m coming back from my injury and I’ve got a five-year contract.
“‘I can sit here while I build myself up slowly.’”

Bolasie hasn’t played for Everton since the 2017-18 season, and could well depart the club this summer.
Perhaps he has tried to rush himself back from injury which has been to his own detriment at times.
In the interview, he did raise the prospect of going back to Palace.
They are still looking for a new manager and undergoing a big turnover of players this summer with so many out of contract so that might be one to keep an eye on.
