Everton take on Newcastle United on Saturday in the Premier League and here is the injury latest.
After a disastrous start to the season, in which they twice gave away two-goal leads to lose, Everton have started to show signs of life in recent weeks.
A draw with Leicester City was followed up with the first win of the season for the Toffees, with a stunning Dwight McNeil double earning a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.
Despite some shocking results, Sean Dyche’s side have put in some strong performances and will be aiming to keep that going when they welcome Newcastle United to Goodison Park on Saturday evening.
Everton will definitely be without four players for the game and now another crucial star is a doubt, too. Here is the latest on the casualties and when they could return.
Jarrad Branthwaite

Jarrad Branthwaite only made his long-awaited return to the side last weekend after suffering a groin injury to start the season and it’s no coincidence that Everton picked up their first win with him back.
Yet, Branthwaite is already a doubt again after he injured his quad in training ahead of the Newcastle fixture.
It’s not clear how serious the centre-back’s injury is but it might be wise not to risk him against the Magpies with so many important matches to come after the international break.

Vitaly Mykolenko

The bad news just keeps coming for Everton as it appears full-back Vitaly Mykolenko has also suffered an injury just before facing Newcastle.
It has been reported that Mykolenko has undergone tests on a calf injury which has returned unfavourable results and the Ukranian will now be on the sidelines for a few weeks.
Potential return date: October 19, vs Ipswich Town
Armando Broja

Armardo Broja is yet to make his debut for Everton after arriving on loan from Chelsea on transfer deadline day due to an Achilles injury he arrived with.
However, it appears progress has been made as the Albanian striker returned to light training on the grass this week and is eyeing a mid-November return to action.
Latest update: Dyche said on September 19: “Amando is he’s making progress, but obviously a longer-term injury.”
On October 3, he said: “They’re a bit longer them two [Chermiti and Broja].”
Potential return date: November 23, vs Brentford
Seamus Coleman

Toffees skipper Seamus Coleman suffered a painful foot injury while playing for the Republic of Ireland against England in September.
The ailment has proven to be worse than first feared and there is no timescale on the 35-year-old’s return.
Latest update: Dyche said on October 3: “Coleman is a bit longer as well. Not too much longer, we’re a bit hopeful over this international period he gets closer.”
Potential return date: N/A
Nathan Patterson

Nathan Patterson has been out for six months with a muscle injury and appears to still be some weeks off a return to action.
However, the full-back has made good progress and played 60 minutes for the Under-21s on Monday, his second game for the reserves, as he edges closer to a comeback.
Latest update: Dyche said on October 3: “Patto is more common sense now. He’s out training all the time, he needs a game programme after being out just around that six-month mark.
“A bit of a longer-term one but he’s making good progress, he’s training regularly. So far so good.”
Potential return date: Late October
Youssef Chermiti

Promising forward Youssef Chermiti impressed fans and Dyche with his 20 cameos towards the end of last season and bright showings in pre-season gave everyone high hopes for the new campaign.
However, the 20-year-old suffered a serious foot injury before the new term began and there is still no timeframe for his return.
Latest update: Dyche said on September 19: “Youssef is making good progress, but obviously quite a long-term injury.”
On October 3, he said: “They’re a bit longer them two [Chermiti and Broja].”
Potential return date: N/A
Dele Alli

Dele Alli’s contract expired in the summer but Dyche is giving the playmaker every chance to earn a new one by waiting for him to recover from injury.
However, he has now suffered a setback in his recovery which is set to keep him out for even longer.
Latest update: Dyche told the Daily Mirror on October 3: “It’s a slight muscle strain, nothing too heavy, but because it’s been so long it is about getting him back into that fully fit zone.
“It’s not easy but unfortunately it is part of being a professional footballer. He has had a tough run of it, there is no doubt about that, and on the back of him feeling better about himself.
“To have this period out has been very challenging for him but whenever I see him he seems to be in good spirits. He’s well aware of the situation.”
Potential return date: N/A
