Everton have today made a breakthrough in their pursuit of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Dewsbury-Hall came back onto Everton’s radar recently, with the club having shown interest in him in recent transfer windows.
Everton and Chelsea then entered talks earlier today over Dewsbury-Hall, which was welcome news.
The story has moved very quickly, and Everton have now reached an agreement to sign Dewsbury-Hall for just under £30 million.
Personal terms are also finalised already.
The hope now is that Everton can get this deal over the line fairly quickly.
In an ideal world, Dewsbury-Hall will be able to feature for Everton this weekend in the pre-season friendly against AS Roma.
Undoubtedly, work will be going on now so that Moyes does have the option to use him at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Dewsbury-Hall is ultimately leaving Chelsea due to a lack of game time.
He did make 36 appearances for the Blues across all competitions in 2024/25. But most of his minutes came in the UEFA Conference League.
Enzo Maresca harshly dropped him to the bench for the final against Real Betis after starting 11 of the previous 12 games.
Perhaps that was what forced Dewsbury-Hall to really consider moving on, and Everton now look primed to sign him.
Despite his lack of opportunities for Chelsea, some of their fans believe this is a solid addition for Everton, with some branding Dewsbury-Hall underrated.

Dewsbury-Hall could be a brilliant signing by Everton
Everton are seemingly paying a fair whack here for Dewsbury-Hall, but this fee could end up looking very good business.
Ultimately, he was brilliant for Leicester and then went to Chelsea and found it tough to compete, given how many players they have.
But the verdict of the Chelsea fans above paints a promising picture.
He is clearly a good player, who has just lacked opportunity – which he likely won’t be short of at Everton.
He’s a workhorse, and we know David Moyes loves players with an engine. But Dewsbury-Hall also has decent technical ability and is capable of providing goals from midfield.
There will also be the element of wanting to prove a point for Dewsbury-Hall, which can only be a good thing for Everton.
