Chris Sutton has made his prediction ahead of West Ham vs Everton this weekend.

Writing for BBC Sport, the pundit admitted he has a ‘sneaky feeling’ that it will be the Toffees claiming the three points on Sunday.

Everton head into the Premier League match in high spirits, despite their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool last time out.

Sean Dyche’s side put on a solid defensive performance against their rivals, while they had also claimed three wins in four games in all competitions prior to that.

Meanwhile, West Ham enjoyed a rather promising start to the campaign as they sat towards the top of the league table. However, they are without a win in their last two matches and will head into the clash off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Olympiacos in the Europa Conference League.

With both teams looking to bounce back in the English capital this weekend, Sutton has tipped the Toffees to claim a point in a 1-1 draw.

“Sophia and Hetty went for a 2-0 West Ham win, but I am going to have to overrule them,” Sutton said.

“I just have a sneaky feeling that Everton are going to get something, especially with Dominic Calvert-Lewin fit and looking sharp.

“Calvert-Lewin has obviously had a lot of injuries but I am not going to apologise for admiring him. Everton’s season depends on him, and he can definitely help them get a point here, for starters.

“West Ham are a well-balanced side and Everton fans will know very well how organised teams are under David Moyes, but I can see the Toffees scrapping this one out for a draw.”

Should Everton be confident ahead of their trip to West Ham?

West Ham have only been beaten by Man City at home this season, so a point would be pretty impressive from Everton.

The Toffees will really want to avoid defeat as they look to build on previous wins, and a draw could take them four points above the relegation zone.

If Everton’s backline can play like they did against Liverpool then they should have no problems, but the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta will undoubtedly cause problems for them.
