Dwight McNeil has admitted he ‘loves’ the song that Everton fans made for him last season.
Speaking to evertontv, the forward spoke of the catchy chant that is sung to the tune of You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real) by Sylvester.
The song – that unsurprisingly replaces ‘Mighty Real’ with ‘Dwight McNeil’ – became a hit on Merseyside after the 23-year-old became one of their best players under Sean Dyche.
“Now when I hear the normal song, all I hear in my head is the words the fans have come up with!” McNeil said.
“I love it. I think it’s a class song!

“My family enjoys it, too. My mum and my missus, in particular. When you’re playing well and you get friends sending videos of the song or the fans singing it, it’s a really good feeling.”
McNeil looked like a completely different player once he had reunited with Dyche at the start of the year, having only scored twice in the first half of the campaign.

The former Burnley man went onto score five goals in their final 12 matches of the Premier League season, helping them clinch safety on the last day.
Will Dwight McNeil be Everton’s star player next season?
Dwight McNeil has been brilliant under Sean Dyche and fans will be desperate to see him pick up where he left off when they host Fulham on August 12.

At only 23, McNeil will be expected to take his performances to the next level if he wants to continue being the Toffees’ main man.
Despite struggling financially, Everton will want to bolster their squad this summer and that will include bringing in at least a couple of forwards to challenge McNeil and the rest of their frontline.
The attacker could certainly continue to star for Everton, though fans will be hoping that isn’t because the rest of the squad have continued to struggle.
