Everton signed attacking midfielder Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds in the summer, whilst he was recovering from injury.
The 26-year-old missed the start of this season with a hip injury, but made his Everton debut in the Carabao Cup victory over Aston Villa, before getting on the scoresheet in his first Premier League start against Bournemouth.
Harrison has now opened up on his recovery from injury, and has credited the Everton medical staff for helping him return to action.
Harrison’s return from injury
Speaking to Everton club media, Harrison claimed that the excellent work of the medical staff helped him recover from injury sooner than he expected.
“It’s been a tough period with my injury,” he stated.
“Everyone at Leeds was great with my rehab, but changing over can be difficult at times.
“The staff here have been brilliant with me, helping me to get to the condition I’m in now – maybe a little bit before expected. It’s a credit to them, a credit to the staff at Leeds, as well, and a credit to the coaching staff here for providing that opportunity for me.
“It’s something I’ve been working really hard for, and they’ve given me that opportunity. I was really grateful to have the experience against Bournemouth, and I’m hoping to carry on.”
Harrison’s opportunity to shine

Harrison showed what he is capable of at his best with a goal and an assist against Bournemouth, and he can become a useful asset for Sean Dyche this season.
He notched up six goals and 10 assists for Leeds in 40 games last year, and he clearly has the ability to make a difference in the final third.
If he can now stay fit following his injury troubles, he will aim to make himself a regular starter, and if he can perform well over the season and help keep Everton up, then he could have a future at Goodison Park.
