Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has heaped praise on Everton winger Jack Harrison.
Jack Harrison joined Everton on loan from Leeds United in the recent summer transfer window. Although his debut for the Toffees was delayed due to injury, the 26-year-old is now up and running.
Harrison fully announced himself at Everton on Saturday, opening his account for the Merseyside club with a sensational long-range strike which clipped the underside of the crossbar on its way into the back of the net.
The stunning goal helped Everton on their way to a comfortable 3-0 win over Bournemouth, ensuring that Sean Dyche’s side were able to enjoy a Premier League victory at Goodison Park for the first time this season.
Danny Murphy was glowing in his review of Harrison’s impact against the Cherries. Speaking on Match of the Day, the 46-year-old former England man said, “Harrison, who’s come into the team from Leeds, what a finish. What a great performance from him as well, really positive in his play.”

Harrison sparks into life for Everton
Everton did seem reinvigorated with Harrison in the team. Alongside the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Dwight McNeil, Harrison brought dynamism and enthusiasm to the Toffees’ attacking play.
Given that Everton have struggled in front of goal so often in recent times, Dyche will take a great deal of encouragement from this match. He will be desperately hoping that this performance has given his team a platform that they can now build a consistent run of good form on.
Harrison will also be hoping that the Toffees can kick on from here. Having experienced relegation from the Premier League with Leeds United last time out, the former England under-21 international will be keen to avoid the same fate as an Everton player this season. He can certainly play a key role in ensuring that the club steer well clear of the drop zone.
