Everton manager David Moyes has been pretty honest about his plan for new signing Adam Aznou.
Adam Aznou was announced by Everton on Tuesday, and in his first interview with the club, he explained how excited he is about the project.
“The project they gave me is really good. The Premier League is the best league in the world so I’m really excited to start.
“The stadium is really nice. It gives you a good feeling and it’s good for our fans to support us. It’s perfect for us.”
Aznou, who joins in a £10m deal from Bayern Munich, is a very technically gifted left-back and will be competing against Vitaliy Mykolenko.
David Moyes has now outlined what he’s planning for Aznou at Everton.

Everton boss David Moyes makes Adam Aznou admission
Moyes spoke very candidly to reporters about the signing of Aznou and did stress that he may not be heavily involved initially.
“This boy’s a young boy, maybe not quite ready yet,” the Scotsman admitted.
“But we hope he will be shortly and yeah we see a lot of good things in him. Technically very good. Athletic. Might need just a little bit to get himself built up and ready for the Premier League.
“So we won’t be putting him under any pressure and we won’t be giving any guarantees to the supporters that he’s going to be seen right away.
“We’ll wait and observe him ourselves but we’ve heard lots of good things about him and we’ve seen what we’ve seen we like, so let’s hope it works out.”
Vitaliy Mykolenko expected to start the season
It very much sounds as though Vitaliy Mykolenko will be starting in Everton’s Premier League opener against Leeds United.
In fact, Aznou may only be utilised in cup competitions to begin with, as Moyes has suggested he needs to bulk up physically.
Indeed, given the Moroccan is just 19-years-old, he needs time to adjust and adapt to a new country, too.
Aznou could be handed minutes on Everton’s US pre-season tour, with their final game taking place tonight against West Ham United.
