Everton’s European hopes ended at the full-time whistle against Crystal Palace.
Despite a battling performance and a decent point on the road, Everton players looked completely dejected after the game.
They know their chances of qualifying for Europe are now very slim, as they sit four points behind seventh-placed Brighton with just two games to go.
Has that just ended Everton’s hopes of European qualification? 😫
More points dropped by the Blues… 😡
David Moyes spoke to the media after the game and didn’t outright say they are out of it but did note it’ll be really tough.
The Everton manager also made a very bizarre comment about one of his players that will certainly raise eyebrows.

David Moyes says Beto is ‘limited’ after Crystal Palace draw
Beto has been in brilliant form for Everton lately, as he netted his sixth goal in his last eight games against Palace.
Despite that, Moyes described the Toffees frontman as ‘limited’ in his post-match interview, which won’t exactly give him much confidence.
“He’s great at his work rate and what he tries to do,” the Toffees boss stated.
“He’s limited in other aspects but you’re just beginning to see some goals. I’ll need him to score a few more between now and the end of the season.”
No win in any of Everton’s last five games… what would you say to David Moyes? 🫣
Perhaps it’s tough love from Moyes, but ultimately, there is another side to it which feels like he’s shifting a bit of blame for the poor results lately (winless in the last four).
Is Beto limited? Yes, but Moyes has other attacking outlets to make up for his lack of care on the ball that he just refuses to use.
The likes of Tyrique George and Tyler Dibling, who would both bring more poise in the build-up, hardly get a look in.
It’s also worth noting that he was given £30m to sign a striker last summer, and he identified Thierno Barry, who has been really underwhelming.
Even the fact that we are now talking about the Everton strikers, after one of them scored today, shows that it was an unnecessary deflective comment from the Scotsman.
He must take accountability for some of his poor team selections.
