Everton sent Isaac Heath on a season-long loan to Accrington Stanley last summer.

Isaac Heath caught the eye in Everton’s pre-season, and as such, the decision was made to send him out on loan rather than to stay with the under-21s.

League Two outfit Accrington landed his signature, and the 21-year-old winger has quickly established himself as a key player.

Manager John Doolan has been blown away by Heath’s quality, and the Toffees loanee was rewarded with the Player of the Month in November.

Heath’s absolutely smashing it at Accrington!

That said, we’ve taken a closer look at his numbers this season and the long-term plan for his Everton career.

Isaac Heath’s impressive stats for Accrington Stanley

Despite playing in a side who are languishing in the bottom half of the table, Heath has still managed to put up some good numbers, as evinced below.

The 2004-born has already registered 10 goal involvements this season, primarily operating as a left-winger.

Heath on his loan so far…

Doolan waxed lyrical about Heath last month: “He’s a top player. We brought top players to the club. (Heath) is an unbelievable talent.

“To see what teams are doing to him now; doubling up, trebling up, they trebled up on him on Saturday.

“He’s getting asked loads of questions… He’s got answers. He’s scoring goals and assisting. He’s a constant threat and he’s only going to get better. He’s an unbelievable talent.”

David Moyes could save millions by promoting Isaac Heath to the first-team

Heath will come back to Finch Farm as a much more physically developed winger this summer, so Moyes will likely assess him in pre-season before making a decision on his future.

The Everton boss could genuinely save millions of pounds by keeping him in and around the squad next season, rather than signing a back-up winger to Jack Grealish or whoever it may be.

Indeed, it is important that Heath is still given a decent amount of game time, so if that won’t be the case, a loan to the Championship should be considered.

The Toffees youngster has already proven that he’s way too good for League Two, so perhaps a jump up to the second tier would be smarter than a cautious loan to League One.
