Jarrod Bowen could be set for a change of club this summer with Everton among the interested parties – and David Moyes of course knows all about him.

It was reported late last night that Bowen is on Everton’s radar heading into the summer, with Liverpool and Newcastle United also circling.

The West Ham United captain has again shone this season, and given his side a fighting chance of survival with two games left to play.

Would you rather Everton sign Summerville or Bowen this summer? 👀

If West Ham go down, Bowen will surely leave.

But it’s been suggested that he could depart even if the Irons stay up, with a £60 million asking price floated.

The link to Bowen is bound to excite Everton fans, and past praise from David Moyes for the player suggests this really would be an amazing move.

Bowen has long been one of the top wingers in the Premier League.

He joined the Hammers from Hull City in January 2020, and has enjoyed a brilliant career in the top-flight so far.

And of course, Moyes knows the player well having managed the Hammers and having brought the player to the club.

He said of Bowen after he had scored a hat-trick in a 4-2 win over Brentford in 2024 (via ESPN): “I’m really pleased for Jarrod. I think his performances recently have gone a wee bit unnoticed because we’ve not played that well. Jarrod’s actually been taking the fight to them in all the games and it’s not really fallen for him and it’s not quite happened. Tonight it did.

“The goals will obviously be the notable thing, but his all around play, the way he’s working. I mean, I thought he had three or four other runs in the game where he was a threat all night.”

Moyes has also talked up Bowen’s ability to play as a striker, saying he was always working on his finishing (via Mirror in 2024): “I think he’s got something which others might not have, a little bit of an idea of what he’s supposed to do and what he wants to do.

“He could run away from you, he can score with his right and left. He’s always out practising his finishing. When he played on the right he was still probably one of our biggest goalscorers.”

Everton are thought to be after a new striker this summer, but with Thierno Barry and Beto both finishing the season amongst the goals, perhaps a move for someone like Bowen, who’s a wide man but a proven scorer through the middle, would be most ideal.

Moyes has also branded Bowen ‘a fantastic boy and an outstanding professional’ (via football.london), which is a further reason why this would be such an exciting move by Everton.

A transfer will be difficult, but it would be a major statement of intent by the club if they can pull it off.
