David Moyes watched from the stands as Everton made it five games unbeaten in the Premier League at Craven Cottage.
Ridiculously serving a touchline ban for doing nothing other than celebrate that late equaliser by Beto at Brighton, the Everton boss would have been delighted to see the Toffees fight back from 1-0 down to record a 2-1 win over Fulham thanks to two crucial moments from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
The win moves Everton up to eighth in the Premier League – six points away from fifth. Not only that, but it also gives David Moyes a remarkable bragging right over his predecessors Rafa Benitez, Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche.
Sum that one up for us, Toffees! 🤩
What a second half that was from the Blues 👏
David Moyes betters combined away record of Rafa Benitez, Frank Lampard and Sean Dyche in just 22 games since returning to Everton
Since returning to Everton as a replacement for Dyche in January 2025, Moyes has won 11 of his 22 away games.
Amazingly – as revealed by Opta on X (previously known as Twitter) – that is a higher total of away wins than Benitez, Lampard and Dyche managed to muster up when you combine them all together. The trio only won ten away games for Everton.
It speaks volumes about how poor Everton have been in recent years, but Moyes also deserves credit for rapidly changing the club’s fortunes when playing away from home.
The Glaswegian is even on track to beat his own record set in the 2008/09 campaign for fewest goals conceded away from home, having only shipped 12 in 13 away matches this season.
In the 2008/09 season, Everton conceded just 17 goals in 19 games away from Goodison Park.
Worrying Hill Dickinson Stadium record is holding Everton back
This superb away form suggests Moyes could start to take Everton to another level if he can manage to turn the Hill Dickinson Stadium into a fortress as well – a venue where the Toffees have lost five of their last nine games.

It may simply be a case of Everton needing to settle in a new stadium, so next season could prove to be an enjoyable one if The Friedkin Group also back Moyes in the transfer market.
