Everton will now have their focus turned to the new season following the fixtures being released on Wednesday.

David Moyes has learned his side will be making a visit to Leeds United on the opening weekend of the season.

However, there is still an awful lot of work needing to be done at Everton before the season kicks off.

Angus Kinnear is expecting a seriously busy summer for Everton following his move across from Leeds.

So far, Everton have only been able to bring in Carlos Alcaraz on a permanent deal following his short-term loan from Flamengo.

Quality and quantity are needed on Merseyside this summer, and the Friedkins are ready to fund Everton’s spending.

With all of this in mind, Moyes has recently been spotted attending a FIFA Club World Cup game during the summer break for the Toffees.

Everton manager David Moyes attends FIFA Club World Cup game

Everton are eyeing a move for Jack Grealish this summer, but the winger has been left at home by Manchester City for the Club World Cup.

There may still be some players on Moyes’ radar playing into the summer as he puts plans in place for the new campaign.

In a Tik Tok video posted by social media creator Thogden, Moyes was spotted attending Benfica’s clash against Boca Juniors in Miami.

The 62-year-old manager was spotted inside the stadium concourse as he was heading out to watch the game.

It is uncertain whether Moyes was attending the game as a pastime or whether he actually had an eye on a specific player.

Everton are looking to make a statement signing as the Friedkins gear up for the club’s move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

It may still be early in the summer, but Everton fans are going to want to see some movement made given the huge task at hand.

Everton need to get up and running in the transfer window

For most clubs, there will not be as much of an urgency to get new faces in, but there should be at Everton.

The Toffees are losing a lot of players at the end of their contracts running out later this month.

Idrissa Gana Gueye’s Everton future remains up in the air still as he is still considering whether to stick around or move on.

Even if Gueye does stay, Everton want to add a new midfielder and losing him would leave a huge hole in Moyes’ squad.

With new transfer window dates for 2025, Everton’s new-look recruitment set-up is going to have to get going sooner rather than later.
