Everton will look to strengthen this summer, and Shea Charles’ stock is rising.
It will be vital for the Toffees to recruit well ahead of the 2026/27 season to build on what has been a great first full season for The Friedkin Group.
We don’t yet know the extent of the success, with six games left to play. Of course, Everton could well secure European football.
Which of these players do you want to see Everton SIGN in 2026?
The following names have been suggested by fans on TalkingPoints…
But even if the club come up short, it’d still have been a good campaign.
But either way, there will be lots to do in the summer, and Everton are prioritising a right-back, a centre-back and a forward.
It seems a new midfielder is also a possibility, with Everton being linked with Shea Charles.
And the youngster came in for some very nice praise from Tonda Eckert this weekend amid the interest from the Toffees.
Tonda Eckert hails Everton target Shea Charles as potential grows

Southampton are in a rich vein of form at the moment.
Their win over Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday night saw them make it 17 games unbeaten, and they’ve now given themselves a brilliant chance of automatic promotion.
And Charles – who shone against Rovers – has been central to their purple patch, leading to interim head coach Tonda Eckert to praise his recent rise.
He said of the former Manchester City youngster (via Daily Echo): “He’s growing at the moment. You have that transition as a player, especially at this stage of a career, where you’re not a talent anymore
“You are only judged on performance. That’s a transition moment that Taylor [Harwood-Bellis] has done, where players come from big academies.
“They are big prospects and have already done something in their career, but the point where you are being considered a talent at one point is over.
“Then you need to perform, and I think he’s in the middle of that process of maturing a lot. I think he had a very good game against Blackburn.”

Why Eckert’s verdict on Charles is significant
In the context of Everton’s interest in the player, this verdict from Eckert on Charles could be important.
If Everton are on the fence about making a potential move, then this might give the club a push.

We have seen younger players at Everton struggle to have prolonged runs in the starting XI, which some fans have found frustrating.
But Eckert suggesting that Charles, 22, is veering away from being a mere prospect to a consistent performer now suggests he’d be able to come in and start games.
