Gabby Agbonlahor has predicted Aston Villa’s team against Everton on Wednesday evening.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the former attacker has tipped Unai Emery to select a ‘really strong’ line-up to face the Toffees.
Everton will be eager to make it back-to-back wins as they travel to Villa Park in the Carabao Cup tomorrow night.
Sean Dyche‘s side knocked out Doncaster Rovers in their first win of the campaign last month and they will now be brimming with confidence after securing their first three points of the Premier League season at the weekend.

Meanwhile, Villa have enjoyed a brilliant start to the term and head into tomorrow’s game off the back of a brilliant 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge.
Everton have been knocked out of the Carabao Cup at the third round in four of the last seven seasons, though they did enjoy some success when they reached the quarter-finals in consecutive years between 2019 and 2021.
Meanwhile, Villa have had little to celebrate since they were narrowly beaten in the Carabao Cup final by Manchester City in 2020. The club have also been knocked out on the third round for the past two years and Agbonlahor is confident that Emery will set up his team for victory tomorrow.
Aston Villa expected to field ‘really strong’ team against Everton
“”The fans are really disappointed after the side lost their first game in Europe by changing their team a bit and I think Emery has learned his lesson,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.

“I think Emery has learned his lesson and he will go really strong against Everton. I think he will try and win a trophy. It’s been too long for Villa fans and I think he will want to win this, definitely.”
Villa opted to rest the likes of Matty Cash, Moussa Diaby and Douglas Luiz as they were beaten by Legia Warsaw last week, but Agbonlahor believes their strongest assets will be present from the start against Everton.
It’s unclear who Sean Dyche will choose to play at Villa Park, though Dominic Calvert-Lewin could return to the starting line-up after netting against Brentford at the weekend.
