Dele Alli’s contract at Everton expired in July.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder last played for Besiktas in February 2023 before suffering a hamstring injury.
Dele Alli has been building his fitness back up since then and it’s understood that he’s now ready to return to the pitch.
Everton were considering resigning him if he could prove his fitness but those rumours have gone cold.
Now, it’s just come to light, that a club on the continent are interested in signing him.

Genoa considering Dele Alli
According to Secolo XIX, Genoa are considering former Everton midfielder Dele Alli.
The Serie A outfit are in the market for a creative midfielder after Ruslan Malinovskyi suffered a serious ankle injury earlier this month.
It’s thought the idea of signing Dele is gaining momentum but there are still some doubts around his fitness.
Genoa recognise it would take time for the former England international to get up to match fitness, so they’re weighing up whether it’s a risk worth taking.
Dele was understood to be earning around £100,000-a-week at Everton, according to Capology, so it could take a sizable contract offer to persuade him to make the switch to Italy.
Everton should still consider resigning Dele Alli
If Dele can get back to full fitness, Everton should seriously consider resigning him to a new deal.
The 28-year-old still has so much to give and many would argue he’s now in his prime years, so if he’s given the platform and trust from his manager, there’s a chance he could get back to his best.
