Everton midfielder Dele Alli has responded to a social media post from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Dele Alli have both had significant injury issues in recent years. Alli is still on the sidelines, but Calvert-Lewin is now back in action and looking good for Everton.
The 26-year-old striker has found the back of the net in consecutive matches. His first goal of the campaign came in the Toffees’ most recent Premier League fixture, in which they secured their first league win with a 3-1 victory over Brentford.
Calvert-Lewin then found the back of the net again on Wednesday evening, when he produced the winning goal in the 2-1 EFL Cup triumph against Aston Villa.
The 11-cap England international must now build on this form, maintain his fitness, and show that he can still contribute consistently over the course of a full campaign. If he can manage that then the £100,000-a-week star will be a key figure for Everton this season.

Dele Alli and Dominic Calvert-Lewin both offer Everton hope
Alli is backing and encouraging Calvert-Lewin to maintain his current form. The forward took to Instagram to celebrate the Toffees’ win at Villa Park.
Alli responded to this post. The 27-year-old commented with a heart emoji.
Alli’s own career is in need of a revival. There is no doubting the £100,000-a-week ace’s talent, but he now needs to show that he can still shine at the highest level. It also remains to be seen how central a role in his plans Sean Dyche has earmarked for Alli when he is eventually fit to return.
If the 37-cap England international can get fit and back to his best, though, then he has the capacity to to have a transformative impact on Everton’s entire season.
