Simon Jordan has claimed that some Everton fans are ‘deluded’.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Crystal Palace owner has criticised the supporters for the backlash Farad Moshiri has received after the club confirmed that Bill Kenwright would remain on as Toffees chairman.
There had previously been talk of Kenwright stepping down as Everton near a takeover, however he will now stay at Goodison Park to help with the transitional phase.
The decision has received major backlash on social media, with fans desperate to see Kenwright sent packing.

“If Bill felt that he wasn’t able to contribute, he would have walked away,” Jordan said.
“Clearly Bill feels it’s something different. I don’t think this will last long. He’s getting old and clearly, who needs this?

“If people think his opinion stops Moshiri from doing anything then I think they are deluded. I don’t think it’s in the best interest of hounding anybody out of the club.”
The news of Kenwright’s future came at the same time as the announcement that Colin Chong had joined as interim Chief Executive Officer and Director. Moshiri has also joined the board alongside John Spellman as Non-Executive Directors.
Everton fans are not ‘deluded’ for wanting Bill Kenwright out
Everton fans have made their feelings towards the Everton board very clear this season and there is no surprise that they are now venting their frustrations at having to put up with him for even longer.

Simon Jordan is out of line suggesting Toffees supporters are deluded – they are the ones that have had to watch the board take the club in completely the wrong direction and they are desperate for change.
Though it is not just Kenwright they want to see the back of. They will be a lot happier when Moshiri joins him.
