Everton have a rich history of producing talented players from their academy.
The Toffees have brought through the likes of Wayne Rooney, Leon Osman and Ross Barkley, to name only a few.
Jarrad Branthwaite is currently flying that flag at the moment, having polished his skillset with the under-21s following a £1m switch from Carlisle United.
Many around Everton are expecting Harrison Armstrong to have a bright future after impressing in the reserve side.
Harrison Armstrong joined Derby County on a six-month loan deal in January to further his development and all of their supporters are saying the same thing about him.

Derby County fans wowed by Harrison Armstrong
Derby fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to heap praise on Everton loanee Harrison Armstrong after yesterday’s 2-1 win against Blackburn Rovers.
@DerbyRetweets posted: “A few eyebrows were raised when we signed “just a kid” from Everton. I was as sceptical as the rest, but what a performance today from Harrison Armstrong! A warm embrace from Eustace when he was substituted. Prime Eustace would have been proud, too!”
“Harrison Armstrong that was impressive!!! Outstanding in the heat of battle,” @AdamFisher02 added.
@fergsim said: “Harrison Armstrong. What a performance from the lad.”
“Never had an Everton loan signing do us any wrong, and this lad is a good talent to keep an eye on,” @TheAlleyBadger commented.
@anne1eley said: “Great performance from that young man!!”
“Harrison Armstrong is improving game by game, Wilson has been a miss, and Harness actually had a good game today. Class atmosphere too,” @kadcfcoutlookc1 posted.
Armstrong stats vs Blackburn Rovers
Here are Armstrong’s impressive statistics against Blackburn Rovers, according to Sofascore.
- 87 minutes played
- 39 touches
- 7 interceptions
- 3 ground duels won
- 2 tackles
- 1 shot blocked
The 18-year-old conducted his defensive duties like a seasoned veteran and didn’t look out of place against players years beyond his age.
Armstrong’s loan has been a real success so far, despite Derby’s poor form, so it wouldn’t at all be surprising to see him in Moyes’ first-team plans next season.
