Everton are interested in signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, but could face competition from Roma.

Here we are again, discussing Everton’s striking problems.

That conversation just isn’t going to go away until Beto or Thierno Barry can prove themselves.

Barry started against Sunderland but missed a golden chance inside the six-yard box.

Beto offered little after coming on as a substitute, and Everton may well target a new striker in January.

Everton and Roma both linked with Dusan Vlahovic

The January transfer window is now less than two months away, and rumours will start to ramp up.

Everton are now being linked with Dusan Vlahovic, ahead of the Juventus striker becoming a free agent in 2026.

The Serbian is approaching the final months of his Juventus deal and could be on the move in a cut-price January deal.

Vlahovic has been a proven goalscorer in Italy, and Everton are not alone in the race for his signature.

Tutto Juve’s Mirko Di Natale reported last week that Roma are also interested in signing Vlahovic.

That would keep Vlahovic in Italy, though Juve would be reluctant to sell to a Serie A rival.

We would love to see Vlahovic in an Everton shirt, but Roma’s interest puts The Friedkin Group at the centre of his future.

The Friedkin Group left to ponder striking additions

Dan Friedkin and co know that Everton and Roma face the same problem.

Both clubs need new strikers in 2026, and that means the same forwards are being linked with both clubs.

Roma fancy Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee, amid links with a move to Everton.

Vlahovic is now the latest striker linked to both clubs, and The Friedkin Group face a real balancing act.

They won’t want to leave one club short after the January window, and will hope to find quality additions for both Everton and Roma.

Vlahovic and Zirkzee will have been looked at by respective recruitment teams, but it’s The Friedkin Group who put up the money.

Spending money on two strikers in January won’t be easy, but a cut-price deal for Vlahovic will appeal.
