Everton moved out of the relegation zone yesterday after defeating Crystal Palace 2-1 at Goodison Park.
The Toffees came back from behind to pick up their first Premier League victory of the season and moved up to 15th in the table.
Dwight McNeil produced a match-winning display, scoring two second-half goals in quick succession to put the hosts in the driving seat.
McNeil collected most of the plaudits, though, one Everton player’s performance really went under the radar.

Dwight McNeil and Tony Bellew absolutely blown away by Jarrad Branthwaite
McNeil and former world champion boxer Tony Bellew were impressed by Jarrad Branthwaite’s display against Palace.
Branthwaite made his first appearances of the season after coming back from injury and looked really assured at the back.
The 22-year-old took to Instagram after the game to celebrate the three points with his teammates and supporters.
Branthwaite captioned the post: “Happy to be back on the pitch. 3 points. Keep it going.”
Clearly, McNeil and Bellew were pleased to see him back as they left supportive comments underneath his post.
McNeil wrote ‘Jazzaaaa’ followed by a love heart eyes emoji whilst Bellew also commented with two blue hearts and a clapping icon.
Everton must continue momentum vs Newcastle
Everton are next in action on Saturday evening as they play host to Newcastle United at Goodison Park.
Dyche’s side must continue their momentum and pick up a second victory of the season heading into the October international break.
They need to create a buffer between them and the relegation zone.
