Everton manager Sean Dyche must deploy his preferred tactical setup against Bournemouth.
Sean Dyche has recently admitted that his ideal tactical setup would include two strikers, playing as a pair up front. However, he is not currently deploying this system at Everton.
Saturday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth at Goodison Park is the perfect opportunity for the £96,000-a-week coach to finally unleash this more attack-minded tactic.
The Toffees desperately need to produce an aggressive, front-footed performance at home. They have lost every Premier League match they have played in front of their own fans so far this season, and have only scored once in that time.
A lack of viable options is not Dyche’s issue, either. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is now fit and firing, and could be partnered by one of three summer arrivals. Fellow target man Beto, who arrived on Merseyside from Udinese in a £26 million deal, could be picked. Otherwise, Villarreal loanee Arnaut Danjuma would offer more pace and Premier League experience. Alternatively, Dyche could give a chance to 19-year-old Youssef Chermiti who recently signed for £15 million.

Perfect time for Dyche to take punt
Whatever the case, Dyche needs to show more attacking intent with his team selections for home matches against sides who are also struggling for form in the Premier League.
By taking one of his midfield trio, usually comprised of Idrissa Gueye, Abdoulaye Doucoure, and Amadou Onana, out of the equation, Dyche can clear room on his team sheet for a second striker.
Given how abject Everton’s home form has been recently, Dyche has little to lose by gambling on a positive change against the Cherries. This is especially true given he has already stated that this is how he ideally wants his teams to play. If he is going to be held responsible for Everton’s results, it may as well be on his preferred terms.
