Each international fixture Everton players will be involved in

Everton are not in action now until the end of March, with a two-week international break offering a welcome break from Premier League action.

Times have been tough for the Toffees, who enter this enforced absence from club football having lost three of their last five games. Their last win came in mid-December, and relegation remains a very real possibility.

Especially after Nottingham Forest’s pitifully small deduction, whilst they still await the results of their second PSR hearing.

Things are not looking so well for the Merseyside outfit, but seeking to divert attention away from the misery surrounding Goodison Park, Everton News has taken a dive into all of the international fixtures which are set to involve Everton players in the coming week.

Jarrad Branthwaite and Jordan Pickford’s England schedule

Whilst Jordan Pickford is the England mainstay within Everton’s squad, a first senior call-up for Jarrad Branthwaite marks a huge step forward in the 21-year-old’s young career.

Understandably, he will dominate headlines, as he seeks to make his first international appearance against one of two very tough opponents.

He will work with the goalkeeper to ensure England can shut out a couple of potent attacking forces, and the experience gained should prove vital upon their return to Goodison Park. One of the two matches sees them face Amadou Onana’s Belgium.

Vitaliy Mykolenko’s Ukraine schedule

Vitaliy Mykolenko is set to endure an odd international break, with a mini play-off tournament having been formed between the four teams mentioned below.

His Ukraine side is just two wins away from securing one of the few spots left up for grabs to go to Germany this summer to compete in the EURO’s.

Should they beat Bosnia & Herzegovina, they will then face the winner of Iceland and Isreal for that coveted place.

Nathan Patterson’s Scotland schedule

Nathan Patterson’s international break is not quite as stressful, given Scotland has already qualified for the upcoming European Championships in the summer.

So, they will first test themselves with a trip to the Netherlands, before returning home to welcome Northern Ireland.

These clashes mark two very different opponents, both of whom will cause their own issues for Patterson. He will hope to retain an international spot, given he has struggled for game time at Everton of late.

Seamus Coleman’s Republic of Ireland schedule

Despite having only recently returned from injury, the Everton captain has never been one to shy away from a bit of hard work.

As such, he travels with his Republic of Ireland squad, set to first face Onana’s Belgium too before then hosting Switzerland.

With little on the line, as they can no longer qualify for the EURO’s,

Amadou Onana’s Belgium schedule

Remaining in the general United Kingdom area for his international two matches is Amadou Onana, who is first leading his Belgium squad on a crusade to conquer Coleman’s Republic of Ireland.

Then, once they have finished there, a return to England will see the 22-year-old midfielder seek to spoil Branthwaite’s debut party.

The latter certainly promises to be the more interesting game of the two.

Idrissa Gana Gueye’s Senegal schedule

Having only recently returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, Idrissa Gana Gueye is back with Senegal seeking to overcome a couple more African outfits.

First facing Gabon before then welcoming Benin, it should be a walk in the park for the 34-year-old and his strong side.

However, there was also an expectation that they might have tasted silverware in January. That failed to be the case.
