It’s not secret that Everton have been heavily relying on spending as little as possible on transfers this summer.
The Toffees have signed Jack Harrison, Ashley Young and Arnaut Danjuma before they eventually splashed eight-figure sums on Youssef Chermiti and Beto.
While the club are thought to be nearing a takeover that could allow them to fork out some cash in the upcoming transfer windows, there is still no harm in dipping their toes in the free agent market if there is some talent available.
Here are nine Premier League players who are out of contract in 2024…
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is reportedly in talks with Manchester United over a new deal, though anything can happen before his current deal is set to expire.

The full-back has only started four matches in the Premier League this season and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him tempted by a move away with the guarantee of regular football.
With the likes of Ashley Young and Nathan Patterson yet to meet expectations, Wan-Bissaka would be a very solid signing for Everton.
Eric Dier
Eric Dier was, at one point, one of Tottenham’s best defenders. His resurgence in North London saw him included in the World Cup squad, however he has since fallen down the pecking order.
The 29-year-old has already been linked with a move to Roma, but he could be a good addition to Everton’s defence is he wants to stay in the English top flight.
Ben Mee
Ben Mee has been a solid signing for Brentford since his arrival last summer, making 37 appearances last season as they finished just outside European qualification.
With the defender turning 35 years old next year, the Bees could be prepared to let him leave at the end of his contract. However, Mee has shown he is still very capable of playing in the Premier League.
Nathan Ferguson
Nathan Ferguson joined Crystal Palace as a very exciting prospect in 2020, however his career so far has been plagued with injuries.

The defender didn’t make his debut for 17 months after signing for the Eagles and hasn’t featured for the senior team since.
Ferguson clearly needs a fresh start and could be a very good player if he can get back to his best and stay fit.
Josh Brownhill
Josh Brownhill proved that he was a quality Premier League player before Burnley’s relegation in 2022.
The midfielder has been an ever-present figure under Vincent Kompany too, while he scored seven goals and provided eight assists in the Championship.
If the Clarets were relegated back to the second tier and Everton can retain their Premier League status, then they could consider snapping him up on a free transfer.
Ryan Christie
Bournemouth are hopeful of extending Ryan Christie’s contract, but there is still the possibility of him leaving the south coast next summer.
The midfielder could be a good squad player for Everton, though it wouldn’t be surprising if he has plenty of interest in his signature.
Michail Antonio
Everton were briefly linked with Michail Antonio in the summer, but may have the chance to sign him for nothing next year.

The Jamaica international has been an important player for West Ham for years now and reached double figures in three consecutive seasons prior to a difficult 2022-23 campaign.
However, Antonio isn’t getting any younger. The striker will turn 34 years old in March.
Anthony Martial
Perhaps an ambitious move, but Anthony Martial could be a solid signing for Everton next summer.
The Frenchman has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and looks increasingly likely to leave at the end of the season.
Whether Martial will want to link up with the Toffees is as another question. He could look to bring his nine-year stint in the Premier League to an end.
