Everton have made a productive start to the new Premier League season.
David Moyes’ side head into the October international break in eighth place after beating Crystal Palace 2-1 on the weekend.

Everton’s summer signings have really helped raise the levels, with Jack Grealish and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall already establishing themselves as key players.
Grealish was controversially left out of the England squad by Thomas Tuchel, but now it’s just emerged that another Toffees player is on his radar.
England boss Thomas Tuchel has James Garner on his radar
Chris Sutton made the point that James Garner should be considered for the England squad, and BBC reporter Ian Dennis believes he’s on Tuchel’s radar.
Chris Sutton: “Someone who I think has had a great season… whether he’s on Thomas Tuchel’s radar… James Garner from Everton. I think he’s been exceptional.
Ian Dennis: “I think he’d be on the radar and funnily enough, he’s somebody like O’Reilly who’s also played at left-back at times for Everton this season.
“But I think he’ll be on the radar. Because between them, whether it’ll be Thomas Tuchel or Anthony Barry, they’ll cover all bases, they’ll know everybody. Everyone is on their radar. So yeah, without doubt he’ll be on their radar.”
David Moyes urges Thomas Tuchel to consider James Garner
Speaking last month, Moyes urged Tuchel to recognise Garner’s form playing out of position at left-back this season.
“I think Jimmy’s form at the moment is up there with some of the best I’ve seen around the country at the moment. So, let’s hope that’s recognised,” the Everton manager said.
Garner did represent England at youth level and made a whopping 18 appearances for the under-21s, with his last cap coming in the 2023 Euros final, which ended in a 1-0 win against Spain.
The 24-year-old’s played as a right-back during that tournament, so clearly his versatility would be a big asset to Tuchel’s group.
