Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has backed the club to bounce back against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
Everton slumped to their fifth Premier League defeat of the season so far with a 2-1 loss against newly-promoted Luton Town at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon. One of the few positives for the Toffees on the day was the continued good form of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Calvert-Lewin has now scored for Everton in each of his last three matches, in all competitions. He has now already bettered his tally of last season, when he managed just two goals in all competitions in an injury-hit campaign.
If Everton can keep the £100,000-a-week 26-year-old fit and firing this season then he has the capacity to fire them clear of relegation trouble. Sean Dyche will certainly be aware of how important Calvert-Lewin can be for his side this season.
Everton will take on fellow strugglers Bournemouth at Goodison Park on Saturday. They need to get back to winning ways and will fancy their chances to do so against the Cherries.

Calvert-Lewin makes bounce back vow
Calvert-Lewin has promised that Everton will produce a better performance against the south coast club than they managed against Luton.
As quoted by the club’s official website, the 11-cap England international said, “we still have another home game this week to put it right, and we fully expect to put it right with a far, far better performance.
“[We are] frustrated and disappointed, we didn’t turn up how we expected to [against Luton]…We had chances, but we weren’t clinical enough or ruthless enough in the first half, and we should have been, myself included.”
Bournemouth themselves will be desperate for a positive result this weekend. Andoni Iraola’s side are without a Premier League win so far this season, and will be keen to bounce back after being thrashed 4-0 by Arsenal last time out. In Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing, and Justin Kluivert they have players with the capacity to hurt Everton.
However, if Dyche can get the best out of the Toffees, and if they can craft goalscoring opportunities for the in-form Calvert-Lewin, then they should have enough quality to secure all three points in front of a desperate Goodison Park crowd.
