Everton are in the picture to sign UD Almeria attacker Largie Ramazani in January after previously making contact with the player.

While Everton have bigger fish to fry at the moment following their second PSR breach, Sean Dyche still needs to bolster his squad in this window.

With the Premier League making unrelenting attempts to relegate the Toffees, one or two key injuries could see them drop into the bottom three.

Despite all the turmoil surrounding Goodison Park, Everton are looking to improve their forward line, especially with Arnaut Danjuma looking like he’s departing for Lyon.

Once more this season, Dyche’s men have struggled in front of goal, returning just 24 goals from their 21 top-flight matches.

This places them in the bottom six for this metric, so it is clear that attacking reinforcements are important with a fresh update emerging over their pursuit for one.

Everton want UD Almeria attacker Largie Ramazani

Largie Ramazani was reportedly on the Toffees’ radar last January.

The club contacted Almeria over potentially luring him to Merseyside, but that deal didn’t take shape, which meant he remained in Spain.

Now, it has been revealed by El Mira that Everton are one of several clubs in the picture to sign him, including Fiorentina, Lyon and Lille.

Almeria are currently rock bottom of the La Liga table on just six points and the sale of Ramazani – who they value at €8 million (£6.8 million) – could allow them to spend on recruits in the market and potentially rescue their perilous position.

The Belgian U21 star has been a rare shining light for the Spanish side this term having plundered two goals and four assists in 20 appearances.

Should Everton sign Largie Ramazani?

Although bolstering their squad has been placed on the back burner in the meantime, acquiring Ramazani for the reported fee of £6.8 million could prove to be a steal.

Everton have lacked in creativity, skill and guile to unlock defences this term but the 21-year-old could provide that in abundance.

Despite his side’s struggles, he’s still demonstrated his prowess as an exceptional winger who can play on either flank, ranking in the top 9% against his positional peers in the division for assists and the top 7% for penalties won, as per FBref.

Ramazani has shown how much of a tricky customer he can be and Everton are void of anyone who can produce moments of brilliance in the blink of an eye.

In their fight against relegation, the talented youngster – who has been hailed by journalist Sacha Tavolieri as “phenomenal” – has the tools in his locker to become a revelation at Goodison Park.
