Micah Richards has compared Sean Dyche with a legendary Premier League manager after handling a huge claim.
Everton‘s form has taken a hit of late with three losses on the bounce leaving the Toffees just a point above Luton and the relegation spots.
However, before this run was a quartet of games which were vastly different in results as Everton won four consecutive games to eradicate their 10-point deduction.
Sean Dyche watched his side play excellent football to overcome Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Burnley in the space of just a few weeks which at the time made Everton look guaranteed for a mid-table finish.
That is still the likely outcome with Dyche no doubt set to inspire a new run of form and continue playing excellent football.
But now, Dyche has been defended for his style amid being compared to a legendary Premier League manager.

Micah Richards on Sean Dyche
Speaking on Wednesday’s episode of The Rest is Football podcast, Micah Richards discussed Sam Allardyce and compared him with the current Everton boss while refuting what he saw as a ‘disrespectful’ claim against both managers.
“I think it’s disrespectful all the time when these managers get labelled as just like [playing with] Target men, [that they] hit the target man and play for the second ball.
“Big Sam could play football [which] was unbelievable at times, that Bolton team like Alan [Shearer] said, getting them players as well. And that’s why I’m so happy that Dyche now has got a little bit of flair players at Everton with [Dwight] McNeil, it shows that – and [James] Garner – they can do a little bit more than just hit the number nine so yeah, big Sam given the right players he could play ball.”
Richards is completely right in defending the two managers with both often accused of playing what is perceived as bad football. When in reality, it’s quite the opposite.
Dyche’s Everton can be great to watch at times
This season already, we’ve seen Everton participate in some truly enthralling battles and fixtures. All while scoring 24 goals which is more than Manchester United.
A 3-0 battering of Newcastle was particularly exciting to watch, while a hard-fought 3-2 triumph over Crystal Palace shuts down the boring narrative.
Everton have played some great football, and under Dyche flair players are also enjoying success.
