Everton can afford to meet Swansea City’s asking price for Joel Piroe.
The Toffees have the funds to match the striker’s price tag and can also make an attractive contract offer, according to Tutto Salernitana.
After bagging 19 goals in the Championship last season, Piroe looks set to leave the Welsh club this summer as he enters the final year of his contract.

The Dutchman has been linked with a number of clubs, with Leicester City, Nottingham Forest and Everton all interested. The report has claimed the latter two will both consider meeting Swansea’s demands for the player.
Serie A outfit Salernitana are eager to sign Piroe in a loan-to-buy deal, however Everton and Forest’s positions mean that the Italian club have fallen behind in the race for his signature.
Journalist Paul Brown has already reported that Piroe would be ‘interested’ in joining the Toffees, which could give them the upper-hand if they step up with their efforts to sign him.

Everton can afford Joel Piroe – so what are they waiting for?
Like all transfers this summer, Everton have had to be very careful in identifying their targets due to their financial problems.
However, Joel Piroe now looks to be affordable for the Toffees and the club have an empty void left by the departing Ellis Simms to fill.

The 23-year-old is clearly a brilliant goalscorer and often received praise from his former boss Russell Martin, with the 37-year-old labelling him as ‘clinical’ and a ‘great technician’ during his time in Wales.
If Everton have the money to fund a move and the forward is also keen to switch Swansea for Merseyside, then what are they waiting for? The Toffees need to crack on and bring Piroe to Goodison Park before another club make a concrete move for him this summer.
