Everton are a club seemingly at a standstill, patiently awaiting the outcome of their appeal verdict.

Well, at last they have been told when it is set to come, in a ruling that could prove pivotal in the long-term future and security of this historic institution.

Should they regain any points, the boost, both in terms of league position and mentality, could be transformative. Similarly, an unchanged ruling could end up being catastrophic for Sean Dyche’s side.

Everything is riding on this outcome, thus explaining the ongoing anxieties associated with this saga.

But when will Everton’s appeal verdict be announced? We take a closer look…

Everton learn when their appeal verdict will be released

Well, it is the information that everyone wants to know, not only due to the instant implications it will have, but also because of the precedent it will set.

After all, Everton do have another alleged breach to be heard this campaign too, alongside Nottingham Forest, so any positive outcome from this first appeal is certain to aid in their efforts to offset another charge.

The latest on when that outcome might be published comes via iNews, who actually reveal what they have heard from club sources regarding the ruling.

They write: ‘Club sources have played down suggestions that the appeal commission’s verdict is imminent or will be announced this week, pitching the middle of next week as most likely for an announcement.

‘Either way i has been told a verdict – and what the club plan to do next – will be clear well before the end of the month.’

Sean Dyche needs his team to rally regardless

Having revealed how he and Kevin Thelwell initially reacted to the ten-point deduction back in November, Dyche will have to get his squad to rally regardless of the outcome of this latest trial.

After all, a negative outcome could see heads drop, whilst a positive one might even lead to some complacency.

Whichever way it falls, the Toffees will be far from completely secure, and another big push will be needed to drive them to the position of safety the fans crave.

Long gone are the dreams of European football and seeking to end their trophy drought. The expectations have been dramatically tempered, and now survival is all that is needed.

Should they continue achieving that whilst allowing Dyche to slowly mould the squad in his image, Bramley-Moore Dock stadium should soon be treated to a team worthy of its remarkable infrastructure.
