On the back of the draw against Leeds United on Monday, Ian Wright thinks Everton have not settled in their new stadium just yet.

Everton come into the game against Fabian Hurzeler’s side having won just two of their last nine games in all competitions.

Thoughts on this starting XI, Toffees? 🤔

There has been some unexpected news that has seen Moyes make a change on the south coast as he hands out a first start of the season to one player.

Vitaliy Mykolenko dropped from the Everton side

Just hours after Moyes admitted Adam Aznou could leave Everton on loan before Monday, Vitaliy Mykolenko has been benched for the game against the Seagulls.

However, the young left-back has still not been given the nod in the starting XI.

Aznou surely has to be handed more minutes after THAT display…😫

Jarrad Branthwaite will start at left-back against Brighton & Hove Albion instead of Aznou, with a back four made up of four centre-backs.

There has been no word on why Mykolenko has been dropped, with a potential injury concern a possibility.

Harrison Armstrong retains spot in Everton’s starting XI

During the game against Leeds, Armstrong was withdrawn at half-time as Moyes made some tactical adjustments.

A big few days lie ahead for Armstrong as a decision needs to be made on his future

Has Harrison Armstrong done enough to stay at Everton? 🤔

Armstrong wants to impress at Everton and he has certainly done that so far since returning from his Preston North End loan.

“I certainly won’t make a decision until after Brighton,” Moyes said on Friday.

“We’ll wait and see how things go but he’s not looked out of place in the Premier League. That’s the biggest compliment I could give Harrison, that’s for sure.”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has now returned to the starting XI, but it is a big statement to see Armstrong retain his spot.
