David Moyes has just named his Everton starting XI to face Manchester City tonight at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
David Moyes is out to upset the odds against City, who are looking to cut Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League table.
But Everton still have it all to play for, with European football not out of the question just yet.
But the Toffees could really do with three points tonight.
Moyes will have to use all his experience to get a result against Pep Guardiola – which is something he rarely does.
What are your thoughts on this XI to face Man City? 🤔
Some big changes from Moyes!
But the Hill Dickinson Stadium has already played host to one impressive scalp this season against Chelsea, which remains Everton’s last Premier League win.
And Moyes has now named the team he hopes will be able to replicate that performance and result.
Everton confirmed team to face Man City
Moyes had made some interesting calls for tonight’s game.
The defence is unchanged, but Merlin Rohl comes in for a rare start in midfield.

Recent history does not bode well for Everton… 🫣
He plays with both James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam, in what looks to be a three. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall looks like he could play from a wide position, with Iliman Ndiaye on the opposite flank.
Moyes has confirmed that Idrissa Gana Gueye misses out with a slight injury he picked up in training.
Beto, who missed the last game through injury, is fit enough to start in what is a real boost for Everton, given his recent form.
Everton facing huge test
It cannot be overstated just how tricky a game this is tonight for Everton.
The Toffees haven’t beaten City since 2017, a run stretching 17 games, and the visitors are in very good form at the moment as they seek to push Arsenal all the way.

Everton’s last win against City was that famous 4-0 victory at Goodison Park, which was one of the highlights of Ronald Koeman’s reign.
That day we saw resolute defending and really clinical finishing in the final third, and one would imagine those things will be required again tonight to stand any chance.
