Everton need more dynamism in attack.
Without Iliman Ndiaye – who is currently away at the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal – Everton have looked limp, winning just one of five Premier League games since he departed and only scoring five goals.
However, The Friedkin Group could now hand David Moyes an electric talent in an attempt to improve the situation, one Arsene Wenger compared to Cesc Fabregas last year.
Everton could sign the new Cesc Fabregas in Ethan Nwaneri
It was Ben Jacobs who claimed that Everton like Ethan Nwaneri and are looking to sign the 18-year-old from Arsenal this winter.
Who would Ethan Nwaneri start ahead of in a fully fit Everton XI? 🤔
A loan deal could be on the cards, as Mikel Arteta has handed the England U21 international just six Premier League appearances so far this season.
Should a deal materialise, Everton fans should be very excited considering what Wenger said about Nwaneri back in February, telling beIN SPORTS: “Nwaneri is more a creator through his final ball, his dribbling and the quality of his passing.
“Of course, Fabregas was very strong mentally but this boy looks (to be) as well and when I look at him, his maturity, it’s difficult for me to think he’s 17 years old… the sign of a special talent is they are ready early.”
Fabregas was an immense talent who debuted for Arsenal at the age of just 16 – going on to win the World Cup and a vast array of other trophies during his illustrious career.
If Nwaneri can even achieve half of what the Spaniard accomplished, the teenager will have a memorable career.
Everton must not spend too much time trying to land Ethan Nwaneri
Nwaneri is only likely to be available on loan this month, with Arsenal surely unwilling to sanction a permanent exit for one of the greatest young talents in Europe.
It also means the Gunners are unlikely to agree to any options or obligations to buy.
Everton fans, would you back a move for Ethan Nwaneri this month? 🤔
It's been claimed we've taken a look at the Arsenal youngster…
So, if Everton experience difficulty in trying to take Nwaneri on loan, it would be best to turn attention towards other targets, ideally those who Everton have the chance to sign permanently.
Furthermore, Moyes already has a young talent in his attacking department in Tyler Dibling who is clearly lacking confidence – having failed to score or assist in 15 appearances since his £40m move from Southampton.
It is undoubtedly in Everton’s best interests to focus on developing their own prospect in Dibling, as opposed to helping nurture a talent Arsenal surely won’t sell.
