Everton are entering one of the most significant weeks in their recent history, as not only does today mark the start of their second PSR case, but it also could see 777 Partners finally meet the conditions set to take over the club.
Both of these processes have been desperately drawn out and left a truly terrible taste in Evertonians’ mouths, as they have been relentlessly messed around and left in the dark regarding their own club.
Nobody knows what might happen, and the subjectivity that surrounds the financial side of the game is a truly outstanding issue given how imperative these decisions could be in deciding the relegation battle.
Well, seeking to side with the Everton fans who have been sorely mistreated throughout this season is the Fan Advisory Board, who have now penned a letter to 777 Partners, the Premier League and Farhad Moshiri, asking pertinent questions.
Everton Fan Advisory Board send message to Moshiri, 777 and Premier League
Although this marks the smaller of a larger letter they plan to write directly to Moshiri, it does bring up some important points which should help to shed some light to a fanbase that has been left uninformed.
The questions they penned have been sent in by concerned Evertonians, and relayed in a fashion that should finally allow them to have a voice on such a key matter.
One part of the piece reads: ‘Questions about when and if a decision will be made about the proposed takeover, the viability of 777 as a potential owner and the contingencies in place should the current takeover proposals prove unsuccessful.’
There is hope that answers can be revealed with immediacy, given how important this week will be in the club’s history.
However, there is little expectation that this will come to fruition. A lack of transparency has been one of the many glaring downfalls of Moshiri’s tenure at Goodison Park.
Farhad Moshiri needs to secure Everton’s future
Whether it be with 777 Partners or some other unnamed consortium, Moshiri must ensure that whoever takes his place as owner has the necessary funds to secure the club’s long-term future.
After all, his disinterest has resulted in the Miami-based firm in question pumping countless loans just to keep them afloat, and yet they still might not even be able to get into power.

It has been a truly terrible set of events in which Moshiri has only made himself look even more foolish than the previous eight years already had done, but the hope is that in leaving he can at least get one thing right.
Do what could not be done when he was allowed to join and find someone laden with cash who is actually competent and willing to invest in securing a brighter future for this historic institution.
